Duo to Be Assessed Ahead of Notts County Trip Fri 26th Jul 2013 15:00
Midfielders Cole Skuse and Paul Anderson will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s final friendly of pre-season at Notts County (KO 3pm). Skuse suffered a knee problem at Colchester on Tuesday, while Anderson has missed the last two games due to a minor hamstring injury. |

Berra’s Bosman move to the Blues was confirmed over the weekend, the Scottish international having put pen to paper on a two-year deal following his release by the Midlanders at the end of last season. |

Late sub David October slammed home an injury time stunner as Town beat Gillingham 2-1 at the Priestfield Stadium. David McGoldrick scored a superb freekick in the first half but the Blues were caught sleeping seconds after the restart when Cody McDonald equalised for the home side. |

Daryl Murphy netted his third goal of pre-season and David McGoldrick scored from the spot as Town beat Crawley 2-1 at the Broadfield Stadium. The goals came in either half with manager Mick McCarthy again fielding a different team in each half. |

Former Town striker Jon Stead netted a last-minute winner for Bristol City as the Robins came from a goal behind to beat the Blues 2-1 at Ashton Gate. Mick McCarthy’s men had gone ahead in the first half through Daryl Murphy and ought to have been two in front when Lee Martin spurned a gilt-edged chance, but Steven Davies netted straight after the break and Stead claimed the three points in the final minute. |

Mick McCarthy looks likely to make one or two changes to the Town side which disappointingly drew 1-1 at home to Barnsley as the Blues take on bottom-of-the-table Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Saturday. Despite the continuing bad weather this week, the game is not expected to be in any doubt. |
